Linaclotide
also known as Linzess
Skeletal structure drawn from the computed atomic coordinates in PubChem CID 16158208. Carbons are implicit vertices; hydrogens on carbon are suppressed, as in any structural formula. Nothing here is estimated — every atom sits where PubChem placed it.
Research reference only. The observations below are recorded in the cited literature. Nothing here is advice or a recommendation, and no dosing information is published on this site.

Modified molecule. Three disulfide bonds lock the peptide into its active fold.
Backbone carries modifications, so computed backbone mass is not comparable to the reported mass of the complete molecule.

Guanylate cyclase-C agonist acting locally in the intestinal lumen.

Experimental structure
No experimental structure of this peptide is deposited in the PDB. Nothing is rendered here — a predicted fold would not be a structure, and this site does not draw one.
Reported effects
Each row is an outcome described in the literature indexed for this peptide. Reported in the cited work — not a claim, not a recommendation.

Application of oral sulfate solution combined with linaclotide in bowel preparation for colonoscopy — Frontiers in medicine 2026
ObjectiveHigh-quality bowel preparation is essential for accurate colonoscopy. Currently, linaclotide is used as an adjunctive agent supporting bowel preparation, but evidence for its combination with oral sulfate solution (OSS) remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate whether the addition of linaclotide to OSS could improve the efficacy of bowel preparation.MethodsThis single-blind, randomized controlled trial enrolled outpatients scheduled for colonoscopy. Participants were randomly assigned (1:1:1) to one of three groups: the OSS + Linaclotide group, the OSS group, or the polyethylene glycol (PEG) group. The primary outcome was the adequate bowel preparation rate, while secondary outcomes included tolerability, colonoscopy findings, and safety. Efficacy endpoints were assessed in the modified intention-to-treat (mITT) population, and safety was evaluated in the as-treated populat…
